When chickens purr.

It's hard to hear, but she's just purring her little head off. It's a partly beautiful day today. Mostly sunny with some light rain. And the chickens are sitting on the back porch, purring.

It's hard for me to hear over my bawling calves, but I'll take your word for it. Just another reason why chickens, or any birds for that matter, freak me out! Glad they're lovin' the sun - I am.

Ahhhhhhh!

My cousin's poor chicken just died of a broken heart. She had lost her beloved dog companion with whom she ate and slept and just could not bear the world without her...

Would spend hours when young, listening to them.The last one was Raja...... and he dies of heartbreak cos his harem had died before him....

they are really sociable. whenever one is laying, the other comes to the porch and clucks disconsolately. it's super cute.

I almost forgot to come back but this video with the cute chickens purring and ocean sounds made me want to purr. except my office mates might look at me too strangely. this is great.
