It's not anywhere you'd expect. For the last two years though, we've made a pilgrimage to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, for the annual donor breakfast. They open the aquarium two hours early and you get all the docents and tanks to yourselves, to enjoy with coffee, fruit and a surprisingly good variety of scones and pastries. It's one of my favorite things, and I took some video this morning, so I can enjoy it again and again. Hope you enjoy it too...

Thought you'd say, "The Tuck Box," in nearby downtown Carmel. Love that place for breakfast! Love the NB Aquarium, too, but never knew of this breakfast.

we'll have to try that, cathy! we love to go to the sea harvest for lunch on the way out of town, but we need more suggestions. monterey is too cute!

This is just stunning. I'm not that patient a person usually, but I sat through the whole seven plus minutes of this mesmerized. What an incredible planet we live on, what amazing and surreal forms life can take here.
And who is the music by? I need to go immediately and get it from Soulseek.

The aquarium is amazing. Stunning. I love that it's built right in to the ocean.

Next time - head out to Big Sur and go to Deetjen's for breakfast. Locals place - tiny, but fabulous. Like Cathy said, The Tuck Box in Carmel is great too.
