Part 3--The Conclusion.

Rate: 17 Flag

After Costa Rica came the only time in many years I took a tour, actually it was just the bus to the bustling town of Puerto Chiapas, Mexico.  Boasting a University for Technology I was taken aback by the size of the city.  Although I was not on a tour per se, the sights along the way were alternately magnificent, colorful and perplexing.  I snapped away from the vantage point of the bus window.

flyby

Looks like a facade from Hollywood.

Amusement Park

 An amusement park entrance.

 Blue on blue

I love the blues.

Chevy

 Chevy sponsors a street?

Color would seep back in

 Love the street vendors.

Dream of a catle

 I always wanted a castle.

 Iglacias

A mosque?

If you thought it was a mosque

No...the church La Luz Del Mundo built by an L.A. preacher.

Great Colors

A palette of colors I adore.

Only another stop away from home I found myself sad the trip was ending, but eager to see what progress was made in my absence.

One of the last nights the waiter snapped this picture of us...Whoa, did she say "US"?  Yes. She. Did.

Introducing Paul...

Paul and I

Paul and I on Christmas...

We are happy

The last formal night I took a quick shot of us.

Paul and I

The house?  Well, it wasn't finished until two weeks ago, but with her new "skin", windows, walkway and roof I couldn't be happier...

Before...

Sunset house

and after!

House now

It was an amazing trip to help bring the house back to her original look, improved by a few things, but keeping her essence.  Like me, we both have been shedding the past and moving towards a future, prepared for whatever life throws our way.  It's really the only way to move ahead.

My thanks to the readers for your patience...but I felt it necessary to chronicle the parallels of the house and what I have been experiencing over the past months.  I think it explains why I have been sporadic in my posts.  My hands and heart have been full.  Smile.

The End

Another happy ending. Love the photos and the drawing. Your house looks terrific.
I love happy endings, Sheila. You deserve this. Yes, the parallels you've drawn here are what drew me into your story as well, and you brought it to a satisfying conclusion. May you enjoy our new life from now on. All the best to you - rated with lve and blessings.

Sheila, beautiful colors and scenes from Mexico and a wonderful conclusion to your story! What wonderful parallels you have drawn here and your contractors had your house ready when you returned--that in itself is a remarkable story! As they say, "today is the first day of the rest of your life" and I hope you both have many, many happy years together!
Ah new beginnings, how lovely. Love that blue as well.
Wow Buffy, loved the photos..
Just great.. felt like I was with you.

Love the travelogue and the pictures. You two look wonderfully happy. Congratulations on getting the house finished. -R-
You've come out!! You two seem really, really happy and it makes us all smile. As I have also learned -- a couple of times -- life goes on!
Ah, this made me smile. I loved that house the way it was and I love it even more now that it has been renewed. I feel the same way about the owner.

It was good to see Paul again, even if it is only via photos and please pass along our love to him too. Mel and I have nothing but warm and wonderful memories of our time on your mountain-top.
I love stories with happy endings; and this one has THREE.... can't forget Paul. Thank you

a wonderful metaphor — analogy — that brings a smile to us all.
Shelia! I've been wondering for a while about the "us" part but didn't want to pry. So happy to hear this and I love the parallels in your life.
