Bio
I was born & raised in small town in Southern California. I know, small town So Cal? Yep, there really are some! I am a mid-30's, divorced, single mom going to college to retrain myself for a new career and enjoying life every minute! I am also totally blessed to be in a relationship now with an amazing man. I say blessed because he really is a gift! I'm the oldest of three sisters and yes there are lots of stories about growing up with one bathroom! lol! I was raised in a religious home but over the past few years have decided I am more spiritual than religious. Yes, there is a difference! I am the proudest mom to the funniest, smartest, cutest & kindest kid I know. I love being a mom to a boy. It's amazing & challenging all at once!

Character & Humor ...in an 8 year old!

Rate: 2 Flag

My son, who is 8, is not lacking in character nor humor.  Both of which I love in him.  I really don't know what I would do with a boring kid!  he he

These are his two latest random and funny moments ...

Last week I pick him up from school and he gets in the car, relaxes into his seat and says "I don't know if I want to be President.  But if I was President, do you know what I would do?"  I had the DUH response trying to get my head around where did this come from and said "no, what?"  He said "First, I would sleep in.  Then when I get up I will have a cup of joe.  (not coffee, he actually said joe).  Then I would make the police escort me to the airport so I could go to Arizona and do stuff."  I smartly asked him "what kind of stuff?"  He replied "fun stuff."  Then he went on and said "he would call the police again to escort him to the airport and he would go to China ...for a year."  I laughed and said "well thanks a lot Mr. President for ditching your people for a year!"  He calmly replied "I have people."  OMG!!!  I laughed so hard!

Two days ago, he got to go to Disneyland with family visiting from out of state.  I was gone at a trade show and called him at the end of the day.  I excitedly asked "so, what did you do today?"  Of course meaning, what rides, etc.  He literally took a breath and said "well, I went to Disneyland and that's pretty much it."  The whole car group in the car busted up and so did I.

Who needs cable when you have an 8 year old like mine!!!

As I recall a funny moment from my past.

Daughter, same age, says: "Dad, can I use the F word?"
To me, the funniest things about smart funny kids (I have a 7 yr old nephew and 10 yr old neice) is that they don't even know how funny they are, so when they are funny naturally, we end up laughing at the fact that we're laughing, and they just give us a "did I say something funny?" look
