He fired Wisconsin employees and replaced them with the butt-vodka guys? Good catch by Rachel, and a fascinating example of what conservatism has devolved to. Though it's a wtf moment, it's not at all surprising, coming as it does from one of the Koch brothers' proteges. The rest of it, the use of fiscal issues as a means to promote corporatist agendas, that's front and center in the Republican playbook these days, and the Democratic playbook too for that matter. The fact that the biggest recent example of bipartisanship in Washington was to extend tax cuts that will add trillions to the deficit and then in the weeks afterward to propose cuts to social programs tells us all we need to know in that regard.

As much as it pains me to say it, it's a brilliant strategy. We need some devious thinkers like that on the Progressive side.

Time to start a recall drive -- Walker has only been in office a couple of months and already proved himself a disaster.

While I do get pleasure out of finding evidence that further vilifies the current state of the GOP, I also get a sinking feeling. What kool-aid, its potency, and the availability to be willingly consumed en masse, exists that could cause such short-sightedness that leads to such terrible consequences?

That is a rhetorical question; I don't think I want to know the answer. This certainly isn't for the greater good. Still, Rachel Maddow rocks.

I like the way in which she lays it out with facts and everything! I hope that she keeps a good number of viewers because we would get little of the truth otherwise.
