I'm getting ready to hit the open road. Packing up the kid, the dog and heading for the ocean--hopefully today but no rush, because I like to do things slow and easy. In fact, sometimes I move so slowly it appears that I have not moved at all. I have been off work since Wednesday and while the effort I have made to Go on Vacation is still invisible to the naked eye, I have done all kinds of important getting-ready-things. Really!
My kid, unfortunately, is the opposite of me. She likes to go, go, go. She's hopping around the place, folding clothes, sorting laundry while I lay here posting a new post. Ah well.
Speaking of laying around procrastinating: Guess what? I am no longer a teenager! I have been promoted to a manager, a middle manager. I am The Man, The Boss Lady. No teenager here, no way. I am a Grown Up with a capital G. Seven or eight minions will report to me as I Make Decisions, Grant Permissions and otherwise Exercise Authority. It will be Grand!
(Alright, alright I'm getting off the computer now. Geeeez. Give me a minute. I SAID I would finish packing today and I WILL as soon as you get off my back.....)
Stay tuned for Road Trip Posts written by a very grown up Grown Up.
