I want credit for figuring out what LBP was when I saw the previous post, and before I saw this one. I did what you suggested. I used one of those new fangled look 'em up thingies on the interwebs.

But this is NOT something I need to know about. I have enough time wasting activities in my life already ;)

Actually, I realized I'd successfully Googled "LBP 0n ps2" and then realized I didn't know what a ps2 was. C'est la vie.

The Batz today are beautiful. Without sounding too fanciful, the lower frame reminds me of the Persian miniaturists' marginalia in the MFA. And strangely enough, two books I recently read: Orhan Pamuk's "The Red Book" and Salman Rushdie's "Enchantress of Florence" both deal with miniaturists, so maybe that's the connection.

LBP is the prettiest, group oriented, laugh out loud thing.
Game of the Year - seriously.
And waste time? Aside from "the story" and maybe 1000 user defined levels (it's only been out 3 weeks! [egad]) you can decorate your pod and customize your sackboy in a million different pastel ways.
If I ever figure how to post in-game pix I'll post what I looks like in my various costumes here.

Luckily Sam's PS3 is off at college with him. The PS2 he left home, but his girlfriend's Mom gave me a Wii (how's that for awesome generosity?) so I don't need Sam's old gaming hardware. I'll tell him about this, though, in case he doesn't know already. He's "only" taking 20 credits so I'm sure he needs something to do in his spare time ;)

If he's the massive blood'n'gutz type expect some push back.
