Clarence Thomas is proof of right-wing racism. They didn't think they could find a competent black jurist so they just grabbed a useful idiot and stuck him on the Court.

And if I could undertake some armchair psychology, I think Thomas is so aware of the fact that he is the beneficiary of a perverse right-wing form of "affirmative action," that he is waaaay overly sensitive to the issue. Not to mention disturbingly hostile to black people who are actually intelligent and qualified for their positions.

As for the thundering silence, OS has jumped the shark. Tipped over the tipping point. It's impossible to navigate, there are no tracking tools that really work, no way to carve out a happy little corner of blogs you want to read. Nobody even knows this is here, in other words. Except for the doggie and me, of course.
