As a truck driver there are a few things that get under my skin. One is to make the claim about how bad truck driver drive. Granted there are a few that shouldn't be out here for one reason or another. With 3 million active drivers you are going to have a few bad apples, just like any other occupation. Federal rules are strict and accident rates per million miles driven continues to fall. Remember I drive in a month more miles than most people drive in a year (10 – 12,000).

Back in 1972 there was a terrible accident that cost 2 people their life, severely injured 2 others and destroyed 2 families. That accident is the one that took the life of Sen. Biden's wife and daughter and injured his 2 sons. Since that time Sen. Biden has continued to lie and bring pain and suffering on the other family.

The New York Times reported the 2007 crowd at the University of Iowa grew silent as Biden gave his version of what happened that day.

"Let me tell you a little story," The newspaper quoted Biden as saying. "I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the 7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly -- and I never pursued it -- drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch, broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries."

The fact is that his wife and daughter were killed by a truck driver but nobody had been drinking. Not the truck driver or his wife. The DA at the time who looked into the accident, and is now a judge, stated that there was no alcohol involved and the accident was more than likely her fault by turning her head and not seeing the truck.

With the media wanting to expose the lies of the 4 front runners for President why have so few people have written about this one? There is an army of people in AK looking for anything that Gov. Palin may have done and lied about and here we have a lie that brings pain upon a family on a regular basis.

I do know the name of the driver, but I left it out of this posting. There is no need to put his name in anything anymore. While he can't be hurt, he died in 1999, his family is still around. One of his daughters, now 44, made a statement that she feels the need protect her father now. She said he always protected them and now it's her turn to protect him.

Here a simple Google search will turn up pages of articles about his claim about the drunk truck driver and the death of his wife. So why has the media not gotten on this one even while they are looking at Gov. Palin?
