Life Through the Windshield

The life of a trucker

Where do you start with something like this. I'm your typical white male. I'm married, for the third time. I have 9 kids and 4 grandchildren. Currently I'm an OTR truck driver. I've been doing it for the past year and a half, but I've had several careers. This one is just the latest. In the past I've tried selling cars. That didn't last long. I should say it didn't take me very long to figure out that I'm to honest to sell cars. I've spent lots of years in the restaurant business. Most of that was in the pizza business either as a manager for other or for myself. I also spent 8 years in the Air Force working in ER's and flying Aeromedical Evacuation. I have to say, the biggest mistake I've ever made was getting out. Anything else you want to know, just ask. I'll tell you.

I wish I was that creative

I read things here that are really good.  Most of them are facts, human interest, or opinion pieces.  I have to say that I really enjoy what I read and I often find myself wishing that I had the ability to write and tell stories like the people I follow.

Then there are the people who think so far out of the box that you have to love to read them.  I alway make sure I check in on the weekends to read the cartoons.  If I need an emotional pick me up, I'll read a Far Side book.  Those who know me will tell you that I am emotionally off tilt with what I think is creative and funny.  Today I heard about something that I had to check out.  I'm just glad I did it in private.   I think I tinkled in my pants I laughed so hard.

I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the cobra that escaped from the Bronx zoo.  They say they are sure she, yes it's a she,  is somewhere inside the reptile house.  They also say that if they wait long enough she will come out.  If not they will find an intern to send in after her.

Some overly creative person has created a Twitter account (bronxzooscobra) for the snake.  For a wild girl out on the town she has to make sure everybody know what she is doing and where she is going.  She has tweeted jem comments such as, "Does anyone know if the Whole Foods in Columbus Circle sells organic mice?".

For the rest of her updates, which are worth reading by the way, I will leave it to you to log into your Twitter account and follow her.  The last time I looked she was over 100K people following her.

So, as a girl loose on the town, where should the bronxzooscobra go now?

Funny post, Catnlion. I loved how you ended your post with a question. Hmmm, if I were a cobra on the loose in the Bronx, where would I go? Well, I wouldn't want to end up in New York city. Or maybe I would...

This girl knows how to get around. She as already been to Ellis Island, to the East Village and if she can find Trump Towers she said she would take care of Donald's presidential bid.
Whats the link to her account?
Try this:!/BronxZoosCobra
You've got curiosity and that is a great trait. If I were that Cobra I would get hungry and cruise into the bushes looking for mice. I bet she will miss her daily gift from the zoo people and maybe just go back to her cage. sigh...
She is tired of mice. She wants a Blooming Onion.
