With 94% of the ballots counted (all paper ballots, no hanging chads) the results stand as follows:
Barack Obama: 361,638 votes
John McCain: 295,193 votes
In percentage terms:
Barack Obama: 54.6%
John McCain: 44.6%

Since WWII, the only two elections held on November 4 have seen the incumbent party lose. Both were on the heels of Presidents with dismal approval ratings: Truman at 22% in 1952, Carter at 29% in 1980. Bush is hovering between 20-29%.
