Religion vs atheism... which will win out in the far off future of spaceships, teleporters, cyborg bodies and lunar colonies? Religious extremism continues to rise around the world and in America, among Christians, Muslims, and other groups. At the same time, in parts of Europe and America religious identification is dropping as a new wave of secular atheists and agnostics spread. What will the future of religion be? What will the world look like in 100 years? The Common Room is here to take a long hard look at religious extremism and atheism. Will the cycles of atheism and monotheistic religion continue to swing back and forth? Will we be praying to Gods as we zip around the universe in space ships? Or will our great great great grandchildren look back on us and laugh? Would the death of religion even be a good thing? Let us know in the discussion down below!
