Hardball Host Patronized Joan Walsh

Rate: 7 Flag

I don't watch the news much, but tonight I as I flipped the channels I saw Joan Walsh on MSNBC and paused to listen to her.

Chris Matthews really turned me off with his misogyny during the presidential primary and it seems he hasn't learned anything from the criticism he and his compatriots earned.

Tonight he thanked Joan Walsh for her feelings as well as her thoughts.

He would never have said that to a man.

What an ass.

To those who don't "get" it, I feel sorry that you are so enured to the daily sexism of life.

The small shit adds up.

Good catch. I think you're right that straight men just don't say that to other men.
Feelings are for sissies and women.
Sissies and women rule!
It is so true about Matthews. I get tired of people here not hearing or seeing his ways. It's not about drinking the kool-aid, it's about listening.
chris has always irritated me. He might as well be interviewing a mirror.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your last two sentences!! You said it all!
Sotomayor and the empathy bull all of the male commentators on the news are pulling sickens me, but her decision about the global gag rule is troubling. I hope the senators ask her about choice point blank.

No matter what I want at least two more women on the Supreme Court, but I don't want women who will work against women's rights.
I wish I had seen this post sooner. When Bill Maher states that, because of women, "feelings" are considered more important than "reason", it's a symptom of an overall cancer. Thank you for noticing Matthew's sexism. It's part of that same cancer.
