I am just waiting for "The Donald" to demand to see a copy of Osama Bin Laden's Death Certificate. Now that would only be fair. 

If a "live"  sitting president of our fair country was bullied into showing his Birth Certficate, why doesn't  Trump demand the see the Death Certificate of one of the most hated men in the world?

But Trump now has new issues to focus on now that the "Birther" episode seems to have left the spotlight, at least for now.

The Donald is focusing his vast intelligensia on Obama's academic career  . . This coming from a man who hasn't bothered to vote in the primary elections for more than 20 years.

He should know all about intelligence as proven by his choice of scholars he chooses for his educational program "Celebrity Apprentice" with academic minds like Gary Busey, Meatloaf and LaToya Jackson.

If anything should Trump his chances of being taken seriously for a shot at the White House, I only hope his latest obsession with the President's intelligence will do him in.

But it won't.

The media helped fuel The Birth Certificate story with leer jets to all-time high-ratings, and there will be much more propaganda to come. More than I am willing to bet.

Everyone loves a good juicy political story to get their blood flowing, but mindless gossip has no business taking up the headlines and on every soundbite on 24-7 cable news channels and other shows, including mine.

And no one should care if The Donald "ever" shows us his tax records as promised now that Obama has shown the world his Birth Certificate.

What have we become? 

A nation of grammar school kids playing  "You show me yours and I'll show you mine?"

And if you do care,  you are only allowing yourself to become  "dumbed down"  and  "distracted"  by a news media that has become as celebrity obsessed as the Real Estate Apprentice himself.

What this country needs is to focus on the issues that effect ALL of us in a profound and tangible manner.

Obama's academic record far exceeds the majority of the nation's populace, and Trump's annual bank statements far exceeds the amount of money most Americans will see in a lifetime.

So let's get on with it already. 

Neither of these issues matter.

The only thing that does matter is about The Birther movement was that is was pure race baiting.

While using the race card is not in my deck, this is one instance where I have to call a spade a spade, and I d mean Obama. 

There is just no coincidence that the first president asked to prove he was born on American soil is a Black man.

This makes Trump a dangerous man.  Playing the race card to get an agenda across hurts us all, and questioning the citizenship of our president hurts both our country's security and our integrity.

As a nation we should be embarrassed this was even an issue.

We just got Osama Bin Laden. I wonder how Trump will use this headline against Obama.

What matters to people has nothing to do with watching a blame game every night on T.V.

What matters is that the unemployment rate is more than 8 percent, that many people don't have access to healthcare, that gas prices are WAY up, that we are involved in a war, and that the middle class is shrinking into oblivion while forced to foreclose on their homes, neighborhood by neighborhood.

Trump should care about that, being a real estate investor and all.

If what we have seen thus far of The Donald's performance and attacks on Obama are a preview of our 2012 presidential race, god save us all.

And if we choose to take anything the Donald says as serious rather than laugh at the man as a cartoon character of himself, we will continue to help him laugh all the way to the bank.

The only thing worse would be a Palin-Trump ticket.

I can just see it now . . .  

Palin and Trump campaigning the country with the slogan "Dead Mooses are Americans Too, and we have their Birth and Death Certificates to prove It."
