Norman Novus 'fesses up

Rate: 2 Flag

I'm not sure about the etiquette 'round these here parts about reposting something someone sends you a PM about.  So I won't repost what I'm getting from Norman.  TELLING you all about the contents is fair game in any environment.  HE claims its art.  BS.  He wants me to go along with the gag.  And the horse he road in on.  As it is I'm sure this little hoax will get picked up by every right wing kook out there as yet another excuse to ignore reason:  "Norvus fooled you, so you're a fool about evolution too suckers!"

Normally I wouldn't suggest posting private PMs - in this case, perhaps you should. If he is indeed stating to you that what he wrote is a fake, then we should all be aware of that - it's extremely damaging to this site.
I would agree with Julie, it speaks to the integrity of the site. If someone is trying to do a hoax like this and draw others in (as he did me), it could be used in many ways which are counter-productive to the users here. I appreciate your persistence in doing this.
Actually, I thought I needed to clarify. I don't know what the PM says, and I hate the thought of people ever doing that too, but if this is nothing more than someone who is done a "creative" piece, I don't see the harm? I leave it to you to examine the intentions in the PM, but I would advise to choose wisely. Sometimes the difference between fictitious and malicious is hard to decipher. Thanks for your concern for the integrity of the site and it's users...it is a tricky one for sure.
"Norvus fooled you, so you're a fool about evolution too suckers!"

I am more inclined to believe Norvus than you, sucker.
Simple question for you Ardee- Did you follow the link to the Time magazine article?
Next simple question- what's the date on the article?
Final Simple question- What year is this?
Posting PM's is normally considered bad manners. But if this person is lying, it's certainly okay to call him/her on it.
