Maybe it's just Me
In my self employed days I was never in favor of Unions. Why? I have my own business my employees are happy, no need. Even when I worked for Marriott or Eurest foodservices no Union was needed. Hitting my mid- fifties I still feel much the same way,
However, To business that shun the “NEED” for Unions this bothers me enough for me to post my concerns. Now I am not going to slam the companies that “Shun” the idea of a unionized workforce, hell if you owned a business and you work close with your employees, you would talked out any problems that arise on any given business situation. This scenario works well with many Mom & Pop to mid-size companies. Cool
so far? Good,
I Believe the Union issue comes into play when you hear that workers in the same industry right down the road are making more money or better benefits doing the exact same job as you are doing, So There it is!
Quick history, Unions have made this Country what it is and what it still can be.
We all remember
“Buy the Union Label”
I don’t want to go into the “Did you sign a union card? Or the backroom conversations that go during this whole period. Please it’s like cloak and dagger.
So you wonder how Bush got two terms.
Now understandably in today’s times a job is a job and you work yourself to a hopefully a better position in life. Are you still with me? Good.
Maybe my main issue is the lack of critical thinking by the workers who with no rhyme or reason just say no to the Union idea, when asked why the answeris “I heard that Unions are no good” when asked there source of information it’s “someone told me that” So what happened to thinking for oneself? I can’t help but think that these are the same people that vote because “RUSH told them who to vote for” or “My Priest told me who to Vote for” Is their such a thing like a Thinking app?
