Last night was the VIP opening of arteBA down here in Buenos Aires. There was some good art, there was lots of bad art, there were some pretty girls, I went home alone. There was no free food! Booo! There was free champagne, but I'm not much of a drinker. I hung out with some friends there and took a bunch of pictures. There was really no reason for me to be nervous, because it was basically a preview of the art fair, not really a party.
My drawings are up in the Appetite booth and they look pretty good. There wasn't room for the big drawings, so they put up 3 small ones and they'll be rotating different ones. I'm excited!

Above: A not very good picture of them.
Above: Art lovers loving my art.

Above: The art at art fairs tends to run to the large (and often banal or downright stupid). I am in the unenviable position beneath that idiotic photo of Jesus and Superman kissing. And people seem to really like that picture. That's an art fair for ya.
I'm very happy with the way my drawings look and I'm absolutely thrilled that I'm in arteBA. If I sell a drawing, I will make like $30 (which is only $5 more than I made hourly at my last job wherein I did virtually nothing). I didn't get into it for the money, obviously. Even if nothing sells, I'm just happy that I'm in the show. :)

(((you may have gone home alone because of that purple extravaganza designed by the loverly Troll ... just sayin' ... if you're into pointing fingers and all that )))
Luis, there were hundreds of people there. It's in like a huge convention room. Last night was the people with money. Actually, I think the people with real money went on Wednesday for the pre-pre-preview.
I hope you don't mean the Jesus photo, Verbal.
Rob, it's a great showing. I'm not complaining. It's a popular gallery and hundreds of people will see them.
