Today I have a day off, it's Sunday. I worked yesterday. We are coming to the last few days of this project at work. I'm feeling hopeful about our manager Jerry extending the project. Yesterday there were only a handful of us at work. Armen decided to keep "only the fast ones". So there were quite a few employees who weren't there yesterday. At the end of the day, Lily who's the night supervisor, came over and told myself and another person, that we may go past the previously planned last day. And that would have been this Tuesday. On Thursday, we were all given letters telling us that our last day will be this Tuesday. It also said that some of us would be leaving that day, and others not. I like the "not" part. Last year something similar happened. They let go several employees. Keeping those of us who were "there to work", as the supe stated. So maybe they're doing the same as last year, and not telling us...again.
I managed to get my new digital camera to work, by putting new batteries in it. The batteries go dead very fast apparently. I took a few pics. One of my toes...
Since this is not a really good camera. And this is my first time with one, please excuse the bad pix-elation. I took more...
This is of a cute photo album I found. It's a Winnie-the-Pooh thing I now have, since working at Disneyland in the Critter Country on the Winnie-the-Pooh ride. I am in favor of this. Again, please excuse the immature things I love to get. It's from the 99 Cent Store. I also got a few little other cute booklets there.
Needless to say, the 99 Cent Store is my most frequented store, along with the Goodwill. I only went there to buy artichokes, baby oil and triple A batteries. I forgot all about what I was in there for, only buying the artichokes and those cute booklets. But I did get a really good buy on the artichokes.
When I was a kid, my mother used to boil these, and we'd eat them dipped in mayonnaise.
Here are angel statues I found and could not resist buying. I also send several of them to my mother. One is an angel holding a tiny white bunny.
Last week I read a good book called "Family History".
Currently I'm reading "Midsummer Night" by Freda Warrington.
So far I like it, got it from the Orange Library. I've been stopping by there on the long drive home from work. I find that if I wait a couple of hours the traffic subsides a little. I spend time on their computers there. I harvest my crops on Farmville and enjoy being there.
Here's another picture, it's a pair of really pretty earrings that a co-worker gave me. Her name is Norma. She's in love with earrings, wears a pretty pair to work every day. These I really liked and she gave them to me. Seriously, she's nice.
I made a budget today. My mother offered to help me with my bills if I get laid off.
food $200
car insurance $65
gasoline $80
cell phone $65
internet $9.95
gym $20
shampoo & stuff $20
clothes $50
telephone $35
miscellaneous $50
This is the bare minimum, without working. If I work, the drive to and from work causes the gas to go up by an extra $80 per month.
This morning I made my Pillsbury apple turnovers, with coffee. I've been eating only salads lately. And I just had to have something sweet in the morning.

Other than this, I've just been doing the work-home-sleep, work-home-sleep routine. I did register for summer school though. I'll have to petition my course though. It's one I need for my AA in Interdisciplinary studies with an Emphasis on Human Expression. It seems that I've had so many writing courses, that I can actually get 2 degrees instead of just my one AA in Graphic Art.
