Could Sarah Palin be the next J.K. Rowling? I think she could be. In fact, maybe she already is.

Sarah is already the number one author in America and she's already been on Oprah. All she'd have to do is write six more books, and that shouldn't take her very long at all! Just like Rowling and Harry Potter, she's already got a really exciting central character - herself - plus plenty of interesting heroes and villains, like Ronald Reagan, Glenn Beck, and Katie Couric. Now, like Rowling, her books are practically selling themselves. So if she can keep this up for another couple of months, she might put Rowling and her Harry Potter empire out of business.

I think she should go for it.

Okay, wise guy, so how many books has
J.K. Rowling read, anyway?

There would be some differences, of course. Sarah doesn't live at Hogwarts, so Alaska will have to do. I don't think Sarah would care for quidditch, so she's probably stuck with moose and wolf hunting, although I bet that can be pretty exciting if you can describe it well. Maybe she should write more for kids. For example, she could write a couple of volumes about her childhood. The great thing is, she could introduce a whole new generation of Americans to the world of reading... And how about the plot? That's what ghost writers are for, I guess. Maybe she could hire J.K. Rowling's ghost writer!!! I'll bet he or she is looking for work right about now.

Okay, Glenn Beck is her Ron Weasley and Michelle Bachman is her Hermione. Her Snape could be Couric or Harry Reid. I'm still not sure who her Voldemort should be. I'm thinking along the lines of Bill Ayres, Barack Obama, Ahmadinejad, or Noam Chomsky. Although I'm not sure if she knows who Noam Chomsky is. Maybe she doesn't have to know that.

It'll be cool to see how her ghost writer will fit Trig and Todd and Bristol and Levi into all this.

I bet she won't sell very many copies in France, though.

Once she makes it, she can sell action figures and video games too.  But to be really successful as the new J.K. Rowling, she needs movies. Really BIG movies. But who should play Sarah Palin? I think it should be Tina Fey. Other people I've talked to are for Carrie Prejean, although she'd have to color her hair and I'm not sure she'd want to do that.
