After college and the USAF and a couple of office jobs I took a job as a motor coach operator. I took that job because there was more money in it and it got me outside; in the winter, one goes to work in the dark and returns in the dark. This was supposed to be temporary until I figured out what I wanted to do when I grew up.

Land of the Free?

If you are in horrible unending pain without any hope of cure how can anyone require you to live this way? 

If you have no way to end such an existence how can you say that you live in the 'land of the free'?
