- Cognitive Dissonance received his master’s degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. In addition to Open Salon, his writings have appeared in, among other places, The Evergreen Free Press, In Tahoma’s Shadow, and In the Biblical Sense: an Anthology of Apocryphal Poetry. He is the recipient of the Exceptional Faculty Teaching Award, and was elected Professor of the Year. He has taught at numerous colleges, including St. Martin’s University and Chapman University. A former combat Marine, he is currently at work on a novel. PS--that is not my real birthday.
