A "writer" in that I transmit others' words, all the time, on a huge variety of subjects. A professional observer; a silent listener. I nonetheless have a voice, which I like to let out once in awhile (nice doggie). Owner of children and cats and one puppy. Standing still, battling fight or flight syndrome.

Pics from my Blackberry Pearl

Rate: 9 Flag

I've been going crazy because this site won't let me post pics from my Olympus camera, via any of my three laptops, my PC, etc.  It did at the very beginning, and then it stopped.  I can't figure that one out yet.  But, as I found today, it will accept pics from my Blackberry.   I just gotta share, albeit with less quality, pic-wise.

detail of Gaudi Dragon Gate, Guell Pavilions, desk calendar

Gaudi never ceases to amaze.  This is the detail off a fence.  Got this desk calendar.  Every week, it's a new adventure.  And I thought I knew Gaudi!

Yeah, he the Man!  Wavy Gravy and the girls at Camp Winnarainbow last summer.

Faux Tatto, 4th of July weekend

Yeah, that's me, with the faux tatt.  Don't drink Killians, but I am a little Irish!

no contiguous line connects these, just things I like, places, people....
Love the pics. I see no better place to end a day. :)
"the sun, just crashing into the car"
you are a poet
a poet that is, apparently, my neighbor
Camp Winnarainbow! You must know my darling girl Spesh Acquah! And her mother Karen! And her brother Kwacey!
Are you kwacey? Of course I do!

Seriously, it was their first year there, and I know practically no one involved, though I have a serious flirtation going on with W.G. However, the moment I arrived, I felt I was coming home, and we were welcomed with open arms, throats of song and praise, skittery robin williams' type jigs, and the like.

They're returning next summer, and hope to be present in the session which includes guest camp speaker Patch Adams!
Cool pictures! I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't seem to post regular digital pictures on here. I love the shot of Vesuvio's and would enjoy hearing more about the ghosts.
I continue to be amazed at the range, creativity and quality of photos posted from iPhones, cellphones and in your case, a Blackberry Pearl. That's somewhat strange that you can no longer upload photos from your Olympus to the OS site. The oddest thing I have found is that one of the Macs I use will only allow me to upload photos in Firefox, not Safari.
Yeah, I got a Mac Air and I was Sure it would let me upload my pics. But no way. and they're not too large either, that's the first thing I checked. I get decent pics on this Blackberry, and figured out how to flash them over via that teenytiny card in a card reader/usb thingie, so it works. But Man, the Olympus is so much better!
Hey impressive pictures. I'm getting my new Blackberry Storm Fedex tomorrow...can't wait to try the pictures.
Blackberry Storm? Sounds like a character in X-Men!
I love these photos. But what I really appreciate is the mention and photo of Wavy Gravy. Of course I, an almost-attendee of Woodstock and flower child of the 60s, know of him. But I Wiki'd him and love him more now. His parents knew Albert Einstein, he once shared an NYC apartment with Tom Paxton and was a good friend of Dylan's. What a privilege to go to his camp.
Julie, they have an adult camp, too! I'll email you the link - though I'm sure you can find it yourself.

He's a Lot of fun. He's like a standup comedian/vaudevillian. He gets on stage when the kids are doing their performance pieces and fills in with jokes and silly stories. He's quite accessible, as I think you can glean from the huggy pics.
I love Gaudi. My wife and I were lucky enough to spend a week in Barcelona a few years ago. We didn't catch this gate (checking online, I see that it's at the Güell residence, which we missed) but did see the Sagrada Famila, La Pedrera/Casa Mila, and Park Güell. All very cool. I'll have to see if I can get some pics up...
Love the gate detail. Man, it would be cool to have something like that on our as-yet un-constructed gate.
I'd love to see your pics, Rob. You are so well-travelled; and well-photag'ed!

The gate, I suspect, is awfully heavy, more ornamental than useful. But I just love the yaw of the dragon's mouth!
