When I was there, October before last, by far the most magical thing I did was go to The Grotto. Wonderful gardens, views, expansive beauty, plateau-top, dainty and pure little church. Light a candle for me, will ya?

I love Chicago. But nothing's faster than a NY minute! Damn! I wish I had a (big) fistful of dollars; I'd be booking a flight, just bc the river's probably green right now .... and this sounds like a way cool (and free!) event!
