Bio
A "writer" in that I transmit others' words, all the time, on a huge variety of subjects. A professional observer; a silent listener. I nonetheless have a voice, which I like to let out once in awhile (nice doggie). Owner of children and cats and one puppy. Standing still, battling fight or flight syndrome.

Y'all know my predilection by now for sound, and music, and dance, and art.

 And unpredictability.

Found this timely video today, fortunately sent by a friend, and I so wish I'd been in Antwerp this day!

So... will you be launching a performance at The Waterfront?
I most love watching the people rock out watching the people rocking out. Um, I think I got that right.
I'm so with you here. I named my youngest daughter after her.
Yeah, I did!
Happy Easter and watch out for the bunny hop! Will kill ya if yur not careful.
Will you be coming to the party in SF next Thursday the 16th.
Check out Lonnie Lazar's new post!
That was awesome! Thanks ConnieMack!
I will check it out. I think I wrote on someone's blog about how I saw some of the places the movie was filmed in Salzburg, Austria. They said that in the scene where Julie Andrews sings, "The hills are alive..." a helicopter that kept swooping in and out knocked her down many times.
Now Connie, you know I love me some music. Don't even get me started on my addictions to musicals (I saw Rent 12 times between NYC, London and Denver). I LOVED this...it was very uplifting. Unlike some of the commenters on youtube, especially given the state of our economy, I think Americans would love something like this Grand Central Station. I'd join in that's for sure. Thanks.
You've got to be kidding. An OS meet in SF? I'll be in Las Vegas! I didn't know!

ratz....
and yes, MaryT, Grand Central is the Perfect Venue!
Deliciously silly. Perfect first hit after getting home on Friday.
Holy crap that was amazing. Thanks for sharing! Brings tears to the eyes for the wonder of interrupting any hum drum day w/art and uniting a bunch of on-looker strangers.

It was such a nicely-planned piece. Do you know any details on who’s responsible/how it was organized?

What a beautiful station. Isn't it a miracle? I feel like I am there.
hahaha. I don't know if I should sing along or cry. I was held hostage to this as a child ... then my sister lived in VT for years (home the the real von traps ...) . There's a sing-along movie theater in NYC. Maybe worth the trip! Fun!
What a joy! You rock!
How hilarious, we posted the same thing with the same title! I should have looked harder to see if anyone posted this,I just saw it and liked it and put it up. It makes me way to yell Hooray.
Excellent! This kind of thing should...I daresay "must"...be continued on a worldwide scale. At all congregations of
potentially temporarily happy
carefree anxious people
going places .
Important places!
Capitals!
Cultural meccas!
Like Cincinnati or
Desmoines. Or
Birmingham, England.

Seriously, it was a joy to see the natural silliness & spontaneity
of our fellow sapiens
excavated, if only briefly.

Connie,
I must amend what i said earlier. What exactly, i dont exactly remember, so we'll give it a broad sweep, big canvas of self-forgiveness with honest urge to change.....

Ok: I said put them in airports, etc. I'll amend that to say: put em in the "hard core Prisons", the kind msnbc is so enamored of. We spend many a weekend "behind bars".....

i was behind bars, remember....for dui....8 months....hardcore: a camp for boys. Ha! snacks & cookies & those soups.......My father was a camp counsellor before he became Principal of the Universe. So i gave the boys a passing grade in his honor, as a goof. I spent the time reading hegel's "phenomenology of spirit"...ach whats my pt?

I love this every time I see it!
I watched this video clip a couple weeks ago. I love when there is spontaneous and random happiness in public places. Sure this was choreographed, but for all those who weren't expecting it- could they really stay bitter after experiencing that performance. To those who say that AT&T did it first and that it was a rip off from someone else's performance piece, just don't get it.
Amazing! Got a little verklempt, it was so unexpectedly wonderful!
