Come on down to Westport, we'll be eating, drinking and smoking.
And talking about y'all.
Great pix. I want to go back without the... distraction. Rated.
Bill B: wtf? A Buckeye daring to diss my beloved KC??? Or a former Brown but now Raaven? A bipolar fan?
Canadians: Sorry; no disrespect intended.
{Canadien français: Je regrette. Je suis désolé !}
This town ain't half bad all in all.......
Sounds....dangerously fun.
Eagerly await the photographic evidence,
Saturday night is the big Palinesqe dramatique blowout. I made sure to get a hotel walking distance to Westport!
And I, too, adore a beautiful steak. They're much easier to come by in Kansas, Ive found. When we cook them at Mom's, you only need a butter knife or -- well, or you're not at Mom's!
(you can read about them here:http://www.nelson-atkins.org/art/Exhibitions/Shuttlecocks/index.cfm)
- okay, that's an art installation in front of the Nelson-Atkins museum, a museum I have a long-felt fondness for, since I saw my first "significant" art there.
Growing up outside Topeka, the only art I saw (which was pretty awesome in a scary way) were these Huge murals in the Statehouse/Capitol building of John Brown, intimately involved in his big, bloody raids, pre/during the Civil War.
But at the Nelson, I first saw "The Scream" ; some Rodin; some John Singer Sargeant; Western illuminists; the work of Dorothea Lange and Walker Evans; and the murals of our homeboy - Thomas Hart Benton. In short - it's my first love.
Heck, no! I'm staying with teens near Westport. That is both the good and the bad (ha).
We haven't tightened anything up yet, but I think the most logical thing to do is meet someplace in Westport and have a meal and some cocktails (or not), and just chat. I don't have the time or wherewithal to really Plan something. Just play it loose.
I think that will take place Sat. night. Also free Sunday day, till 5 or 6 p.m.

Quite appropriate that you chose the double city...
As you are probably aware, the double souls are on their way
quite soon...after a little bit of housecleaning..
They got some crazy little men there...
I wanna get me one!
Have some dry rubbed ribs for me!
