For Christmas Trees About to Rock: Saluting a New Tradition

Rate: 3 Flag

This is the Christmas Tree at my mother's house:

This is a wax molding of my sister's hand doing the infamous mano cornuta, or "sign of the horns".  This gesture has many interpretations: it's a sign of infidelity, a way to ward of evil spirits, it identifies University of Texas Longhorns fans, it's a salute to Satan, and it's also known as the universal sign for Heavy Metal:

This is how we topped our mother's tree this year:

Mom's tree loves metal. Rock on, mom.

"For those about to rock...FIRE! We salute you!"

That's a quite evocative molding Corey. I'd like to have one of my middle finger to carry in my car... J/K "ohm, shanti, shanti, shanti..."
:-D
I should add, Mom made us put a giant red bow underneath to mute the effect of the hand; I took the bow off for the picture.
That's a great idea to cover up the two long stems at the top.
I love it! Hook em Horns (my alma mater).

Corey, it's awesome without the bow. I understand why your mom made you put the bow on, but, damn, that looks great.
