After reading JustJuli’s thoughtful post about the beauty of the pooch, which can be seen here: Beautiful Belly: In Praise of the Pooch , I couldn’t resist posting a belly photo of my own.

Now, I personally don’t find this sexy (and that sort of thing is illegal in Washington anyway), but who am I to be judgmental?

She is a whippet, (normally) about 31 pounds and 20.25" at the withers. She's due Saturday, but I expect her to go sooner. She's a career girl and is thoroughly disgusted at her predicament.

What a riot! It reminded me of years ago when I was living with a boyfriend and found a nude polaroid in his sock drawer of his ex-wife prego but a lot less creepy. Prego whippet good -prego ex very very bad. Congrats on the pending bundles of joy.

I just adopted a rescue dog, a schnoodle (part schnauser, part poodle -- 2 years old) but she doesn't do that thing with her leg when you rub her belly. Do I need to take her to doggie school for that?

I think schnoodles are very cute...sounds like she is defective though if she doesn't do the leg thing. Probably comes from the schnauzer side of the family!
