Beyonce And Jay-Z Confirmed To Attend BET Award

With the BET Awards set to go down Sunday night (July 1), the biggest battle of the evening might be between the biggest married couple. Jay-Z and Beyonce, who are now confirmed to attend the awards show at the Shine Auditorium in Los Angeles, will face each other for video of the year honors.

Beyonce has the second-most nominations with six and Jay-Z trails right behind with five. Well-known Beyonce video defender and practical family member Kanye West leads the pack with seven nods, while him and Jay-Z have two of the nominations for video of the year for their collaborative work on Watch The Throne.

Other highlights are set to include a tribute to Whitney Houston by her mother, as well as performances from Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. Music crew, Nicki Minaj, Usher and Chris Brown.

Movie icon Samuel L. Jackson will host, while Jamie Foxx, Tyler Perry and Quentin Tarantino are among the confirmed presenters. The show will air live on BET at 8pm ET/PT and 7pm CT.

Beyonce is the second most nominated act. She's up for six awards. Jay-Z is nominated for five.

Kanye West leads the pack with seven.

Two of West and Jay-Z's collaborative songs are up for video of the year. Beyonce is also nominated twice in the category. The final nominee is Usher.

Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Usher are set to perform. And Whitney Houston's mother is part of a tribute for the late superstar that will include other singers.

Jamie Foxx, Quentin Tarantino and Tyler Perry will present awards. Samuel L. Jackson will host the show, which will be held Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
