I suggest that on this Valentine's Day, we all wear our hearts on our sleeves, literally. If you're an avid volunteer like me or if you only volunteer casually, I want you to wear your heart on your sleeve and show
the world you care not just about your beloved Valentine but also about your community and the world at large. Even if you have to fold a piece of red construction paper in half and cut a heart out - do it. Pin it to your sleeve. And when people ask you what that's about, you can say "I'm showing that I care for my community. I'm a volunteer." Your heart will swell with pride and you'll give someone cause to pause and think about their own contributions to the community and improving people's lives.
My own community service message - thanks for sharing and thanks for caring. Post to facebook and twitter. Post this " If you're an avid or casual volunteer, wear your heart on your sleeve this Valentine's Day." And/or "Show the world you care not just for your beloved Valentine but also for your community and the world at large. Wear your heart on your sleeve."
Or, if you create a better tweet, post it and share it. :-)
