As a political Independent, I've always viewed the whole squabble about whether President Obama was born in the United States as the gossip around the national water cooler: we all know it's trash talk, but we stop and listen anyway. It's the kind of mean-spirited yakking that foolish politicians use as distraction grenades.
Trump's pouty-lipped hamming for the camera is nothing but his continuing demand for attention, and the networks give it to him. He was all over the airwaves this morning. Personally, I'm tired of hearing it through every news channel out there. Are media journalists really so enamored with his face in the camera they are willing to give air time to someone who uses the phrases "I've heard" and "someone told me" as validation of his statements? Come on, people.
I want substance. Give me real facts from working politicians who have the responsibility to lead our country rather than giggling into their cocktails as they let a sideshow lead the news. You do this country a disservice if you aren't on the job doing real work to earn your salary and health benefits.
