Goofy Biden is a breath of fresh air. I'm glad he's not president, but he's perfect right where he is.

I also liked the way Obama handled it, in an informal interview instead of a scripted speech. Made it seem less political, even tho everybody knows it was.

Biden stated his opinion, and Obama followed up that opinion with his own. But it was also scripted, and VP delivered his lines well.
Obama promised many things would be done on the LGBT front, but if those changes have any chance to stay in place after his departure, than they can't be 'shoved down the American throat' as the right would like us to interpret. If changes were put into place immediatly upon arrival, the right would have four years to brainwash the electorate. Now they have six months. They also have the extra step of convincing the populace what occured is some huge controversy. that the VP is a bungling idiot and 'forced the president's hand' distances the president personally from the opinion, rendering it less of a 'throat shoving' tactic and more of an expression of the general attitude of the rest of America.
