my favorite, and i think neil young's favorite too. neil inducted woody into the hall of fame, and i think his sugar mountain is a response to this song. just a thought i have.
and the next two are songs woody wrote, performed by billy bragg and wilco. i put them up bc i love them ever so, and because it is quite amazing that they should sound so true and perfect even today, and because i think they both show off his ability to write the littlest tiniest song, and have it tell so much.
california stars, surely one of the most romantic songs ever written. listen to those words.
