- What defines me? I'd love to write this really great adventure story, but alas, it be a work of fiction.
I'm a mom of one, my son, now 15 (yes we're dealing with the teenage years) my furry children I have 4 cats, 2 dogs (1 is on loan from a sick family member) and 3 chickens.
I try to do the best I can at whatever I do, keep out of trouble (which never seems to work) and get as much out of life as I possibly can in the short time I'm allotted. After all, " You only live twice" ;)
Well, that's me

The Lion Sleeps Tonight
While the world morns the loss of famous icons, Ed McMahon, Farah Faucet and Michael Jackson. Our little family mourns a loss of our own.
On Father's day, my beautiful Fred, had a blood clot, go to his spine, paralyzing him in the hind legs. I had to drive him … Read full post »
Tired
Have you ever just gotten tired of pretty much everything all at once?
I used to be a single mom. I had my parents "help" as in they ran my life in one way or another by using my son to do it.
Then I started dating my HS Sweetheart. At… Read full post »
One Person Can Start A Fire
I hope this link works. It's very inspirational. I've seen over the last two years how one person can destroy so many things. They set into motion a chain in events like ripples on a pond that just go on and on and intersect with so many other… Read full post »

A letter to Employees From their Employeer
The following is a letter my uncle sent out to all of his employees and his family members.
Where as I feel for the business, in my opinion, they are not alone in this economic hardship, everyone is feeling the crunch of these hard times.
I feel however, his email is… Read full post »
Smile, It Can't Be That Bad!
If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that, I'd be able to bail out the US all by myself.
I am not a "smiler" I come from a long line of people who just don't walk around with a big grin plastered on their face. Now, that's… Read full post »
Who's Minding The Store?
Does anyone else shudder at the fact that the government wants to nationalize the banks? I mean really, they can't even run the government's money right and now they want to try to take care of mine?
The promise that once things get on their feet, they'll let the banks… Read full post »
The Secret To Being A Millionaire is...
You just have to WANT to become one.
Geez, if only I had know it was just wanting it bad enough that made one well off, I wouldn't have wasted all these years working my ass off to make other people rich.
I crack up every time I… Read full post »
Random Things
So, sometimes I have all sorts of random thoughts run through my mind from my to do/grocery list to trying to solve the worlds energy crisis (not really, but you know what I mean) Sometimes the ol' melon picks up random songs… Read full post »

With all of the money they are handing out to all these failing businesses...what if they had just divided it up between all the Adult American families?
I know I saw some where there was a forward along these lines which was really just to prove the point that no… Read full post »
What's The Beef With Wal-Mart?
Why does everyone complain about Wal-Mart...is someone holding a gun to peoples heads and telling them to shop there? If you want to save the little buisness, then go there and shop. It's really just that easy people.
I go to Wal-Mart, because most of their prices are low and I… Read full post »
Can The US Make Change?
So I sit as the world's finances seem to spiral out of control and wonder has any lessons been learned from it all?
My guess is probably not. But still I have the Hope that's left at the bottom of Pandora's box.
I think some where along the line… Read full post »
The Toy Industry..Ho, Ho, Ho's

Talking Turkey
Hmmm, I think the best part about Thanksgiving is the smells. The all day smell of something good cooking in the kitchen.

Eliza There's a Hole In The Bucket, Dear Liza a Hole
So I log on to the internet to see yet another plan to bail someone out. Again, I ask the question...from where is the money coming? How much am I and my children/grand children supposed to pay to bail failed businesses out?
I understand that there are many jobs at stake,… Read full post »

That Night
The winds deep voice shook through the night,
the stars they did not shine.

I felt alone and cold.
