Bio
What defines me? I'd love to write this really great adventure story, but alas, it be a work of fiction. I'm a mom of one, my son, now 15 (yes we're dealing with the teenage years) my furry children I have 4 cats, 2 dogs (1 is on loan from a sick family member) and 3 chickens. I try to do the best I can at whatever I do, keep out of trouble (which never seems to work) and get as much out of life as I possibly can in the short time I'm allotted. After all, " You only live twice" ;) Well, that's me

25 Things

Rate: 4 Flag

1.      I think my toes are weird, my big toe is normal, but toes 2 & 3 are twins of each other (same length) 4&5 are normalish. They're also slightly webbed. I got them from my dad

2.    I don’t talk about people… I discuss them. Wink wink

3.      I hate roller coasters because I hate the fall from the top. I don’t like the little bit of anti-gravity there. I'm not afraid of heights though

4.      I think Ultimate Fighting is boring because it's not violent enough. (come on they just hang on each other. I want to see some punches thrown, kicks made, teeth flying across the ring guys)

5.      I like flying in small personal planes, but not large commercial planes. My ears don’t pop right at their altitudes. They’re fine in the lower ones though.

6.      Sometimes my dreams come true (which is a little freaky for me and the person I told about it before it happens)

7.      I think I’m boring

8.      I very rarely notice when someone is hitting on me, even if they ask me out I still think they’re just being nice. (Someone always tells me later “Hey, he was just hitting on you.” Totally oblivious)

9.      I love to dance and since there’s nowhere to go, I will sometimes put on music and just dance in the kitchen. (I did this more when my son was younger )

10. I listen to all kinds of music even though no one would think of it to look at me.

11.  I do housework best to my grandmom’s music, Billie Holiday, Nat Cole, Big Band and Swing.

12.  I used to dabble in witch craft

13.  I believe people who do bad things to people, have bad things happen to them.

14. I sleep best on my stomach since I had colic as a baby and my mom used to put me that way to sleep.

15. I can drawl well, but my handwriting is horrible

16.  I want to have a New Years Eve party, but I don’t really feel like having the people come over.

17. I don’t eat cakes or pastries that often. Cookies occasionally. I’m more of a cracker and pretzel stick kind of snacker.

18.  I’m not big on alcohol. I will rarely have a glass of wine and only at home. If I go out I'll only have 1-2 drinks. This has ticked off many a guy at a bar/club.

19. I have many clothes, but seem to only wear the same 4 or 5 outfits all the time.

20.  I sometimes wish I could just go live on a farm in the middle of nowhere, but I know I’m too lazy for that.

21.  I bought everyone 20 pairs of socks each for Christmas because they never have any and they hate washing them and matching them up.

22. I cook pretty well, even if it's something I don't like and won't eat. (which is a lot of foods as I'm a horribly picky eater)

23. I cut my own hair and it’s usually in Oct or Nov.

24. I was single for 10 years. Didn’t feel like being bothered and just wanted to raise my son, my way.

25. I'm always cold unless it's over 75 degrees, I'm not anemic I've been checked as everyone always assumes there's something wrong with me and not them. We don't put the air on until end of July beginning of August when it gets to be 95 or above.

In re: # 7: How could you be boring with such an interesting list?

#15--my son is like that, too. His occupational therapist (he has a developmental disorder) told us that writing and drawing involve two distinct ways of using the muscles, and each is governed by a different neurological process (one is more "right brain" and the other more "left brain.")

Cheers!
I'm a subscriber to #13 and believe it all comes back to you. I was howling at #25. I live in Florida and am freezing most of the time. I can't wait for menopause lightening to strike me just so I can find out what it feels like to be comfortable in everyone else's idea of "room temperature".. Rated for NON boredom.
Thanks to all!
Squillo; thanks for letting me know why with the writing. My son is the same as I am and even though I tell people (i believe it's called dysgraphia) no one believes me.

Thanks Cartouche! I'm so glad it's not just me! Hearing you about the menopause lightening. I'm just getting comfy finally and they're putting on fans and the air.

Thanks emma, something about the music makes the work a little lighter
Interesting list. And I love your banner pictures.
