Away from the panic and the fear
There must be a heart that keeps me here

So where is the good feeling?
Where is the lighting up?
Where are the thousand voices screaming, telling me this is enough?

Cancer….home….

It will always give me perspec…

Twinges and Hinges

Never stop learning.

Always keep moving.

I woke up really early this morning and was three minutes late for the yoga class that I had woken up early to take.  Now, the teacher wouldn’t have cared if I was three minutes late, but I did, so I decided/… Read full post »

People will always argue with me on the benefits of fasting and detoxing.

I believe in believing in your body.  Your body naturally detoxifies itself; otherwise you'd be dead.

However, depending on what things are going on in your life, you may be reachingRead full post »

Going raw!

So, I finished the 14 day cleanse, 4 days of the Ayurvedic dish kitchadi to 'come off' toxins and 10 days on the Master Cleanse (lemon, cayenne pepper and maple syrup).

I've done this fast before sans the kitchadi.  I will never do just the master cleanseRead full post »

7th day. Never do the master cleanse and fly the trapeze. Highly un-recommended... although I did do the splits.

It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A

This is Lane Searle.

At least that's what they call me at the Y. My handwriting is horrid. I take after my dad.

I haven't joined a gym in a really long time because that's one of the perks from working at one; you get to work out at one too!

Swing time...

I love running on the beach. It makes my day when I know I can do it. Today, I can do it!!
I had a ton of energy, strapped on my iPod mini and hit the beach.
The first mile was splendid, bright sunshine and some new tunes. I passed…

What are you talking about?

Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, oy my?
What is all this stuff? What is tradition? What is yoga? What are we doing? What is the teacher doing? What is she or he talking about? Why is this pose taught this way and the same pose taught differently in…

High Hopes 2...

for those who have been reading....
My dad.
My personal, musical and driving inspiration.
He is good.
His chemo is workin' and he's on to the second chapter.
The tests came back and it hasn't spread to more than the metastasis in his lung but it's still there so we're on…

The happiest place on earth...

I was reticent. I was.

The last time I was there, I was wearing a polyester jumper a newly fried and badly done perm and sadly overweight...and ten years old.

It's twenty years later and here I am again with a man whom I've known for over a decade and always…

Indecision hurts...

Ow!!

Bad yogi...

You should no better.

But alas, I'm the little yogi that could.

And I'm out there every day makin' mistakes and bringin' the lessons to the mat to learn from...for the both of us.

Have you ever committed to something and then regretted it?

Have you ever committed to something in confidenc…

Reunion...

My car got rear ended...
again!!!
The drivers in this city need a lesson. Perhaps I should start teaching driving. Since it's in the blood and all. My dad, is, was a driver, so...
The old lady who hit my car apologized profusely. I'm so stressed. My brother is…

Hug a dog

I’m a person and I have flaws.

A ton of em.

But, when I’m teaching, I try to put it all aside and focus on the needs of my students. After my class yesterday, a rather good one I thought, I quickly came out of teacher mode and became frustrated/…
