Pierce Brosnan - profoundly lovable, totally sexy

Rate: 25 Flag

Pierce Brosnan, besides having a terrible singing voice a la Mamma Mia! is the father of 5 kids, is a talented painter, is married to Keely Shaye Smith who is neither lipo'd nor anorexic as so many of her hollywood peers. And he is a generous philanthropist.

He came from simple beginnings: his father abandoned his mother when he was an infant in Ireland, so he was raised by relatives while his mother became a nurse and worked in London to be able to send money back home.

He was married to actress Cassandra Harris for 17 years until she succumbed to ovarian cancer and he stopped working and took care of her until she died. That's when he took up painting again. He holds both an Irish and American citizenship, proudly becoming an American citizen in 2004.

He is best known for his role in Remington Steele and as James Bond. Anybody who saw him in the Thomas Crown Affair with Rene Russo knows he is absolutely swoon-able. He's a wonderful father, husband, painter and caregiver. Pierce? Who loves you, baby?

Love him! Love him! And that Irish accent of his!
Guess who watched The Thomas Crown Affair again last night?
Totally sexy, excellent choice.
Oh God. The Thomas Crown Affair. I must go and buy that dvd.
ohhh, NICE choice, deborah!
I always thought he was adorable but I never knew much about him--now I like him even more!
Actually, I've seen him twice in LA, and he's very, very thin in real like, not anorexic, but a whisp. Great screen presence though.
Beautiful family he has, isn't it!! Wasn't Thomas Crowne Affair yummy!
He sounds like a nice guy. As long as he doesnt sing.
well, you're totally right about that!!!
...meaning that he's hot. I have no comment on his singing voice but he seems like a supremely good guy...
I can't remember who was interviewed but someone said that in kissing scenes he had a terrible nibbling problem on the lips. Now, if he.... um, never mind......don't want to make you blush some more. He is good looking and I like that he doesn't have a pencil for a wife.
This is one man who has my respect.
Rated.
Besides being a genuine human being, he is yummy..that's right I said it...YUMMY!! Rated for yummy factor.
Amen!

You totally hit all the right reasons a man is seriously sexy. Pierce Brosnan is a perfect example. I too don't count singing as a sexy requirement. Fortunately. (Hubby sings worse than Pierce).
The too-brief piece above neglected to mention the Brosnans' commitment to social causes.

A week ago, at the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles, I attended an advance screening of a new film, "Coal Country," about giant coal-mining companies' despoiling of West Virginia mountaintops, and their relentless and brutal exploitation of the miners, their families and the states' government and resources to enrich themselves.

Pierce and Keeley were to host the evening (a conflicting engagement ultimately prevented them from attending), but it's obviously a measure of Pierce and Keeley's concern for those less fortunate that they would lend their names and times (and perhaps funda) to such a cause.
I've always loved him and have known Keely since her time on PBS's "The Victory Garden." They seem so happy together and both seem so genuine.
I've never found him attractive (sorry!) per my post long ago about all the Bonds, but he seems like a nice guy. And I like some of the acting his done post-Bond, esp when he gets rumpled and funny.

But I have to say that when I saw your blog post title on the cover, I thought this was going to be about Patrick McGoohan! And I thought, wow, there's a woman who goes her own way. I just re-watched most of the original Prisoner series, and he was quite handsome in his day.)
"Mamma Mia!" is almost unforgivable (I place the blame mostly with ABBA), but his work in "The Matador" makes up for it.
Pierce and his wife spent $10,000.00 on renovating a park near their home on the island of Kauai. They put their money where their mouths are.
Actually, ABBA was the only thing good about Mamm Mia. The acting, beginning with Meryl Streep, was criminal.
The fact he married a woman that isn't a size 2 makes him sexy in my book!
little factoid: his bond movies collectively grossed over $1B
I give this an R because maybe somebody will send Pierce Brendan your blog and he'll see my picture.
Yeah, I've had a crush on him since Remington Steele. He's aging well.
Pierce Brosnan was never more emotionally moving (and therefore never more attractive) than in a father-and-child reunion movie called "Evelyn": http://is.gd/548yL
