Every once in a while it's good to take an internal and external inventory. Especially when it's the End of the World as we know it. Things are simple here; not a lot new.
- Snow is starting to fall on the western slope. Winter is here.

- My step-daughter, jobless and homeless has moved in with us for a couple of months until she can get back on her feet. She brought her dog, bringing the human dog ratio to: 3:3.
- My son is living and working in South Korea, in the Airforce. He's enjoying it so much I'm not hearing from him. He's 19, has a job, has money and buddies. I am currently living on his back burner.
- I got a raise. I am lucky enough to be skilled in a niche that has plenty of work and they are always needing more skilled people.
- My husband might have prostate cancer. We'll find out after his biopsy on Dec. 15th.
- I have a tiny office in town I go to each day to do my work and other things like balance the check book and pay the bills.
- There's a new yoga studio opening up across from my office. Can't wait!
- Our pellet stove is keeping our log home warm & cozy, unlike last November when we froze. Last year we had no storm doors, no window blinds, a tiny propane fireplace and could see the outdoors through our logs. All that has been fixed and it's a miracle of warmth in here.
- We are feeding 4 homeless cats. I pour the catfood out at night into a huge plate; every morning it is empty. I don't know how they keep warm at night.
- I almost plowed into a doe on Friday. The deer around here are thick and if they decide to cross the road in front of your while you drive it can turn lethal. I'm driving the truck with the deer guard on it tonight to pick up my husband at the airport.
- It's November 2011 - none of us knows what lies ahead.
- Hoping this November brings warmth and faith for everyone.
