Bloopers and Boehners, John needs you to introduce yourself!

Rate: 5 Flag

House Republican Leader, John Boehner, claimed today that he had not met any "regular Americans" who were in favor of a public option - despite polls showing a majority of Americans and Doctors are in favor of just such a public option.

This is obviously a desperate cry for help. During all his tea-bagging escapades he obviously didn't meet any "regular Americans" and is baffled to know what one must really be like.   Please help John as he reaches out for assistance from his lofty Ivory Tower.  John Boehner desires "regular Americans" who are in support of the public option to introduce themselves to him - since he has lived a very sheltered life as a Washington insider and celebrity astro-turfer.  John is so lonely in his isolation and really needs your help to break him free of his self imposed shackles of ignorance.

John Boehner is desperate to be introduced to some real Americans, Public Option

"I'm still trying to find the first American to talk to who's in favor of the public option, other than a member of  Congress or the administration" said Boehner.

John Boehner is looking forward to your introduction!  Even if you live outside of his district you may contact him via email to say hello, introduce yourself, and tell him that it is now time to publicly retract his statement as he has "met you", a regular American in favor of the public option.   I took up John's desperate "call for help" , won't you join me?

I live in Ohio and I am constantly embarrassed that this ass is one of our reps from Ohio. He is an absolute idiot.

I live in Texas and understand exactly how you feel micalpeace!
He's a moron and, frankly, I don't think these guys give a damn about hearing from anybody other than their constituents, even though their voteds affect trhe nation.

My question -- when did Boehner add the "e" and the "h" to his last name?

R
based on the polls, I don't think these guys even give a damn from hearing from their constituents either. John to answer your question; from now on he shall be known as "Joehen Boehner"
Wow! Boehner says ""I'm still trying to find the first American to talk to who's in favor of the public option, other than a member of Congress or the administration" said Boehner." ?????????
I have yet to meet a rational person who is AGAINST the public option, and I live in one of the reddest of red states. Thanks for the link to Boehner's office, I'll let him know what I think immediately.
no problem nanatehay! I am sure he has been hearing from quite a few Regular Americans in favor of the public option since he made his "cry for help"
OK, here's the message I just now sent him; it's a variation of my comment above:

I heard today that you said "I'm still trying to find the first American to talk to who's in favor of the public option, other than a member of Congress or the administration"

Mr. Boehner, I'm a regular American, and I live in the reddest of red states, and I have yet to meet a rational person who is NOT in favor of a public option. Since you have now "met" me, will you retract that statement? Or will you, as seems more likely, continue to work against what the majority of US citizens want?

I wonder if I'll hear back from him?
I DID hear back from him! John Boehner LOVES me, an he's so POLITE!

"Thank you for contacting the Office of the House Republican Leader. Your thoughts are important to me and are appreciated. Due to the volume of E-mail I receive, it may not be possible to personally respond to your comments. However, please be assured that your comments are important to me and my colleagues.

Sincerely,

John A. Boehner

Republican Leader
nanatehay, I said the same thing in my "allow me to introduce my self to you email" and asked that he publicly recant his statement that he had not met any Americans in favor of the public option. If we actually want to hear back from him, I think we would have to pose as Insurance/Anti Health Care reform lobbyists trying to get the correct spelling of his name so we can write him more whopping big campaign checks .
I just got my reply as well nanatehay! He must be so excited about the outpouring from his "cry for help to end the shackles of his self imposed ignorance"!
He prolly couldn't personally answer your emails because he was on the phone with me.

I'm not sure why he called me personally other than that my email read:

Dear John,

Call me so we can talk about giving you even more money.

Signed,

The Insurance Industry
This is hilarious! I was at work when I read about Boner's remarks, and couldn't send him an email. Thanks for the handy link here. As soon as I get home, he's getting my missive!
