The text: I went to grad school of a government-funded fellowship. The hours I put in at school were equivalent to working three jobs. I could not have worked and succeeded in grad school without this support. In exchange, I became a successful scientist whose research has returned thousands of times the value of that small government fellowship to the private sector. I'm grateful for this government support, which I did not use to line my own pockets, but rather to better my country for everyone. Any of you who feel this to be socialism, feel free to decline use of the prescription drugs this 'socialism' helped develop. I don't know which particular percentage of self-absorbed assholes this puts me in.
