During the month of February, I'm going to wear red every day in honor and in memory of my mom, who died of a heart attack that should never have happened.
February 3 is National Wear Red Day, but one day doesn't seem like enough to really get the message across, so I've decided to kick it up a notch by wearing red every day and blogging about my experiences, and about what you can do to help prevent senseless deaths like my mom's.
There are things that we can all do to help prevent women from dying needlessly, and it starts with awareness. And awareness, if you are a woman, sometimes requires a shopping spree. My wardrobe was crying out for major redification. Enter my old friend Sally Ann (that's what faux-hemians like me call the local Salvation Army Thrift Store.) I don't want to spill all the beans on the red-tastic haul I got for just sixty bucks ('cause the big lure of a daily fashion blog is new pictures of clothes), but I am going to offer a tiny taste. Ten bucks for Ann Taylor Loft. Not bad, huh?
