Click here for a better view of The Cure
I finally made it to the finish line. Well, at least one finish line. My little vampire romance that I've been talking about for months is a reality. It took a while. And just the right mix of will, stubbornness, desire and determination, but I did it. The Cure is now actually available for sale on CreateSpace. You won't find yet it if you search on Amazon. That takes a few days, but the link to the actual CreateSpace webpage is above. Couldn't get the screenshot to come out clear, but if you click on the "Click here for a better view," it will take to an order page. You won't have to order, but it provides a very clear display of the page above, which gives a description of the book. It will also be available to read as an epub (and much cheaper) on Kindle and Smashwords in a week or so. I'll post that as well once I've made that hurdle.
It feels good to have the 334-page book in my hand. To know that despite the seemingly insurmountable odds, the rejection from the big boys, the lack of a mentor to guide me, that I stuck with it, taught myself what I needed to know and just did it. I made it happen.
I have no expectations. But the experience has given me a tremendous sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. And it was just too much fun. So much fun that I'm working on book #2.

I had a friend that did the same thing. She rented a table at craft shows etc and personally signed each one.
She is on her fourth printing now.
