The C. W. Post College of Long Island University in Brookville, New York is pleased to announce an on-line college level course in affiliation with OpenSalon.com. The course is entitled "How to Post."

For the spring semester four OpenSalon members will be leading the on-line classes in two week periods each.

The first session will be conducted by Dr. Freaky Troll who will demonstrate the methodology behind building reader audience through leveraging bright hair, bold graphics and photoshop technique.

The second session will involve a historical perspective presented by Procopius who will trace the history of today's on-line flame wars from the earliest recorded conflicts of mankind.

For the third session, OpenSalon member bbd will demonstrate the latest photographic software and methods for presenting your photographs in the sharpest manner currently possible and will discuss location shooting that students will find invaluable in their future photo essays.

Finally, for the fourth and final session Monsieur Chariot will discuss the importance of illustration and Nineteenth Century Romanticism in creating posts that harken back to an earlier age and create an emotional bond with readers.

OpenSalon members can find more information at www.liu.edu and arrangements have been made that allow students to pay their tuition through the Tippem system.

Oh, this fits in perfectly with my new PhD.
Freaky, actually I need to update the copy to reflect your recent degree and congratulations on that, also!
If this is Post College, then can I earn graduate credits?
Stacey, absolutely, and for the fall semester I think I can get you in as one of the four instructors as a new set of four sessions is planned which would add to the course offerings.
(The thing is, I would happily attend all of those classes! ;)
Donna, I'd happily take a class with you, in addition to the others. I know people in high places at C.W. Post and I can get you in to a teaching position for the class coming up in the fall.
You're on! I better go find out where Freaky got her degree from so I can get one too...
...earlier era? I'll have you know I am ahead of my time!!!
Surely you'll have a course on How to get all EP's and permanent Cover page real estate while pissing off all of your readers. Hmmm who could teach that one?
My dear Monsieur Chariot ~ I should somehow re-phrase that so it's clear that by reaching back in time with your unique posts you are so totally ahead of the curve in the competitive world of blogging.
Ardee, I have my thoughts on that one and could PM you to compare notes. I bet you're thinking what I'm thinking!
d' - if you could only get her! And if you could control the students rushing the podium with baseball bats!
A very large harrumph, no canine representation by this institution? I'm shocked and saddened by the elitism as this mediocre instution in Nassau County.

They wouldn't pull this crap up in Westchester.
OE, they were just testing the waters this spring and with the interest they are seeing not only will canines be represented but felines, too, and the latter may or may not make your day. Discussions are currently underway regarding the "Aw" curriculum and many names are being bandied about. Not only do I have pull at the school, but I also know people who work in tall buildings, so if you're interested, you're in!
I work in a tall building so I resemble that remark. Sign me up.
It is very appropriate that Post College offer OS Posting courses. After class I think I will head to the Post dinning hall and have a bowl of Post Select cereal. Later I will head to the Post Office and post a letter to Kerry at OS Editorial offices about my next post.

George, excellent use of Post beyond the Post classroom. The only thing I would add is after a day of Posts, I returned to my post and beam house!
Cool! I'm in! Coincidentally, I've had a blog in the works on meta photo stuff--composition etc. and two in the planning thinking stages of a couple of photoshop techniques--PS tilt-shifting and using the Orton technique on portraits.

Thanks John for the invitation to join the faculty.
Barry, glad to have you aboard!
Ric Tresa would make a great Graphic Design Arts instructor and what about Teddy L'Engle Knight as the new Theater professor? Bill Beck would shine as a Poli Sci professor too. I like the way you think D!
Sorry, d, you can't afford my fee.
