Ellen Barkin in a winning sequel

Rate: 3 Flag

In a move that would no doubt impress Rocky Balboa, Ellen Barkin has won a judgment in court against her former husband Ron Perelman. (Naturally, there may be a court appeal to this decision by Perelman, as stated in the article.)

The New York Post came up with a clever headline for this story and the following are two pull quotes from their article:

"A Manhattan judge has ordered the Revlon cosmetics tycoon to pay his ex-wife's movie-production company $4.3 million -- money he'd agreed to put into the startup before reneging on the deal after they broke up."

"Perelman reportedly pulled the plug on the relationship shortly before an escalation clause on their prenup was set to kick in."

It's stories like this that make me wary of even giving someone a key to house-sit.
I just love Ellen Barkin...xox
Hmm. I'll say this much, I've always been impressed with her as an actress, from the first time I saw her playing Robert Duvall's doomed daughter in "Tender Mercies". I think she is underrated, and is especially effective in comedy roles.
Move on girl. You're already rich. How important is money? And who cares what he has or promised or did not promise. He's the Madoff of love--he made off with her love and now she's "getting everything" as Mrs. Trump once said. For shame. Getting even and getting everything is tantamount to getting nothing,
She's hot! Always impressed me. Great for her. o/e
mmmm. just watched Buckaroo Banzai and she was awesomely cheesy in that film.
Thanks everybody for your great comments yesterday!

I think the 2007 film "Oceans Thirteen" was the last film I saw that starred Ellen Barkin. I never saw "Tender Mercies" that Steve mentioned in his comment. I'll have to track that down and check it out. We'll eventually see how things go if this decision is appealed, etc.
