Washington crossed the Delaware today, 235 years ago, and he had a merry Christmas massacring Hessians and taking their supplies more importantly, so was that wrong?
The Yule Blog on Channel Eleven.
LOL
I sent out a photo..:)
HUGGGGGGGGG
HAPPY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas to you, Designanator. Thank you for all your posts throughout the year.

No. Just to read and comment.
Not really--not much different than calling on the phone.
I want to add: Merry Christmas to you too!
No more sacrilegious to blog on Christmas than to be trolling around looking for people who are blogging on Christmas! (darn few of them, I might add.)

Merry Christmas! Thank you for all of your wonderful posts all year. :o)
That is when I really need blogs. Blog away. Thanks.
The stores are closed, there's only Christmas shows on tv and Christmas music on the radio...if it weren't for blogs, what would I do? (Housework, read, go for a walk...eh.)
Blog on, John. And I hope your christmas was Merry!
Merry Christmas to you, my good friend. Looking forward to your new posts. R
It never occurred to me that Christianity has, as Judaism does (as to Jewish Law--the Sabbath, Yom Kippur, etc.), time-bound commndments, separated-out holy-time, when work may not be done. I don't think there are any time-bound commandments in Christianity, in any sect, that amount to law.

On the other hand, it might be a positive nod to the Day to abstain from routine/regular activities of many kinds on Christmas.

r.
I feel soooo much better. Thanks, Des. I trust you weren't smitten yesterday for your sacrilege.
No, it just gives you something to focus on.
On past cheerful holidays in America?
Where I live they hid mules and cows.
Villagers in town met Civil War troops.

The hungry soldiers made women bake.
The woman had to darn North & South.
Socks were darned while the cows moo.
Men were forced to slaughter moo cow.
Politicians still slaughter human beings.
Harry Reid etc., lobby at Steak Houses.
I read Harry Reid ran up a BBG feast bill.
They eat T-Bone steak with red blood too.

Taxpayers paid $60- some thousand bucks!
They (politicos) never change stinky pants!
They worship dollars and gorge on carrion!
But maybe you can take a break for New Year's Day and enjoy yourself. Great post.
Thank you very much everyone for all of the great comments! I am really touched by all of the wonderful and clever thoughts expressed here!!
At Christmastime I think of all the things I am thankful for…friends at Open Salon are definitely included in that list.
Yep....it is!

But I'd do it too!
