Back in April of 2009 I posted a Joan Walsh separated at birth post using a photo taken at the 1st Annual OS Anniversary held in San Francisco. Since that time I have featured Bernie Madoff and George Washington, too, as seen further below.
It was Spy Magazine that first inspired me to look at the separated at birth phenomena and I posted a story about the magazine one year and a day ago.
(OSers Sandra Stephens, Cathy GF, and Dorelvis seen pictured with Joan. As I recall, Lonnie Lazar took the photo.)

A comment from Joan...

A more recent post, as mentioned above...

And now for some avatars chosen at random from active OSers...

As an informal open call feel free to present your own separated at birth posts.
Footnote: I must admit that the Nicolas Cage story of this week made me think of what fun I've had with the separated at birth posts.

Various Artists had mentioned in his comment about Elvis Costello and my photos from yesteryear. Here's what I came up with, plus an bonus of moi and Carlos Santana!

Sunday morning bonus twins...my wife and Lee Remick:

Kerry befriended Troth once.
I feel sad if Troth is sad. huh?

It's just a memory. Thanks.
It's so gusty and windy, huh.
I love wild `Nature's Gust.
`
I now worship your every move hahahahah
Thank you!!!
HUGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Larry, he does look a heck of a lot like Jeff Bridges now that you mention it!
Zuma, it's true that I have just scratched the surface here--I could spend weeks going through all of the avatars and finding their twins!
Catch-22, that's a great description...sexy smirking!
Tom, you've got it...you and Neil Young! Your comment made me remember another post, Alfred and Rick Astley...very much like twins!
MM, I was happy I found a photo of Marlo Thomas with the same angle, etc.
Thoth, happy to see that you're having fun with this, too!
Art, I've got one for Kerry, but it's on TV...will have to find a way to photograph it.
Linda, I was amazed how similar Madonna's photo was to yours! I'm happy you were online this afternoon so you saw the post not long after it went up.
Trudge, without image search this would have been a tough one to put together...such is the power of the web and tracking down the right photo.
Scarlett, glad you were online to see this! I am figuring you'll want to keep the same avatar for a while!
And I have thought many times that Mary Stanik looks like That Girl! (Plus, I think Linda is way cooler than Madonna.)

The Nick Cage vampire stuff is awesome and somehow appropriate.
@ Oryoki - nothing wrong with Helen Hunt.
Thanks for a delightful set of images here!
