It's really hard to believe an entire year has gone by since Ardee's birthday last October!
We've had a lot of fun posting photo essays for each other's birthday over the past few years and this time around I'm posting some shots of New York that I haven't presented here before as an enticement for Ardee to make a trek to the city sometime in the near future for an OS meet-up with moi.
As long time OS members may know, Ardee and I go back to the early days on OS when it was still in beta, plus we were at RISD for the '75-'76 school year, but didn't know one another at that time since we had different majors and classes.
So, on this October 18th please join me as I raise my glass for a special birthday toast to Ardee and hope she has a very special birthday today with many more to come!!!

That shot in the Wall Street area particularly intrigues...
I'm really sorry to get here late - I hope everyone got happily drunk and ate up all the birthday cake.
I have an excuse, but whatever. It has to do something to do with server problems and such but that's pretty lame too. You all might know that I have been avoiding OS lately, but not because of you wonderful people.
Thanks John for remembering and for posting those great photos. I especially like the Soho shot with the fabrics in the window, backlit and diaphanous. I would be up those stairs in a heartbeat to check out that shop. The photos of the buildings are gorgeous - your eye for architecture is unmatched. You are a great friend, and our meetup is going to happen soon, I swear!

As I sit here and write this comment, I'm forgetting why exactly I left OS. Other than the server problems, the silly dustups and the trolls... was that all so terrible? I really miss being here!
