bud

The bud
Stands for all things,
Even those things that do not flower,
For everything flowers, from within, of self-blessing;
Though sometimes it is necessary
To reteach a thing its loveliness
To put a hand on its brow
Of the flower
And retell it in words and in touch
It is lovely
Until it flowers again from within, of self-blessing.

Very sweet sentiment.
Beautiful sentiment. I loved it.
Y'all are sweet! Dharma wasn't planning on posting again for a few days but I was inspired to unearth this little gem tonight.
I hope you know how special you are. I've enjoyed watching your posts shift from a focus on you to a focus on others. I mean this as a compliment - not that there is anything wrong with posts on self. I mean, I do it all the time. You just seem connected to the universe (another compliment in case it's not clear. It's late.)
"To reteach a thing its loveliness." Perhaps that's part of why we're all here - not just on OS, but in life as well. Thanks, dharma!
That is lovely. Thank you ;0)
Thanks for sharing and friends.
Beautiful and that first photo looks like my New Dawn rose. It's ready to bust out in blooms right now!
I love Galway Kinnell, I always recgnize his words. Thank you for this beautiful post.
thanks...this I needed :)
I'm budding as I type :)
Beautiful.
I was told the yellow rose
symbolizes
Friendship.
What Owl_Says_Who said.
Few
Are as lovely
Inside and out
As you
George: Thank you for saying that. The more time I spend on OS the more connected I feel to people here and it hurts when people I care about are suffering.

Owl: well put, sweetheart.

Dorinda: My absolute pleasure. And I know what I'm talking about.

Leonde: You're one of em, sister.

Gracielou: Gracing my blog for the first time! Ty for coming by.

M.M., JK: thanks, girls:)

(((((((((((Trigger))))))))))))

Delia: Takes one to know one.

Had: that was classic jose. i love it.

Arthur: yes, friendship and admiration, I think. That's what I intend it to symbolize, here. ty for coming by.

((Michael)): yup.

((((((Tom))))))): your comment sure warmed me up from the inside out, mister. thanks for the big warm fuzzy.
"Though sometimes it is necessary
To reteach a thing its loveliness"

A gem indeed. Thank you for posting.
oh, sweetheart. this is just lvoely. thank you for sharing it. i needed this today. love love love
Dharma, this is so you. Very nicely done. Roses are rare and beautiful. If you find one cherish and enjoy it.
Rated & Cheers!
Yes. Sometimes we need reminding of how wonderful
we are to rekindle that inner flame.
The cycle of budding to dormancy to budding just beautifully mirror the cycles of existence and lived life. Nice post Dharma.
Scupper, ty for coming by.
teddy, you were in my heart when i sought out this poem. you're in the tags, too.
Bubba: that is a really nice thing to say, mister. thank you.
Dakini: thanks for stopping by.
Sensus: THANK YOU for reminding me:)
Sometimes, even against all the odds, it works out. Sometimes you don't see it coming. It's invisible, until the instant it happens. You have to trust the spirit, because the universe didn't happen by accident.

Neither did this.
So "May" appropriate. Roses blooming. And that lovely gift of a poem. And such a nice reminder to stop beating one's self up. Thanks, dharma!
