This post reminded me of a conversation my husband recounted the other day -
My husband , his boss and a coworker were having conversation about the packed lunch that he has taken to carrying these days, and his boss asked if we had dinner out everyday and hubby said that no, we go home and eat home cooked meal and that its mainly in some pre-cooked or almost-cooked stage so its a quick and easy to set the dinner table. He elaborated saying that I cook most of our meals over the weekend and freeze them and he helps me in chopping and all but that I take care of planning and execution mainly <kudos to this guy for giving me all the credit ! :)) >
And you would not believe what his boss said next !! He said, actually said that 'you have TRAINED your wife well' !!!! TRAINED !! I didnt know if I should be insulted, humiliated or just laugh our loud at this ...his co-worker to her credit exclaimed that 'you did NOT just say that' ...but he did...
He said that he generally ate out all day and packed dinner for his family in the evening , generally from the fast food places like Mac or some other burger joints etc...I cant imagine that...even if I had no economic concerns and could eat out every day I wouldnt..I dont believe the restaurents can provide you with the wholesome and nutritious diet that you need...and I dont know if I do that but I most certainly do try.
