Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

Quotidian #2. Saturday May 22, 2010

Rate: 5 Flag

Tonight, there are no planets, stars or moons
With intersecting orbits, that could serve
As metaphor - no hieroglyphics, runes,
Or icons; nothing epic to preserve
A night of nothing special, or a day
Of little more than that.  Not much to say.
It's nice sometimes, when things are calm that way.

As they say, "no news is good news" but you say it so well!
You do say it well.
it truly is nice when hings are clam that way
like rain on a dirt road, I think. Same dirt, same stars. Comfort in that. Thanks DB.
Sometimes we all get so caught up in the Big Moments of a day that we forget that certain days just have no huge turning points, and no flavor except vanilla -- which is a perfectly good flavor to savor! Again, well done, O Bard!
*calm*

what's the matter with me?!
I am catching up on responding to comments, and I just want to say how much I appreciate (as always) your stopping by to read.

And yes, c&v, trilogy, ladyslipper, Renatta, kissing, and Chocoloate Moose: an uneventful day is a lovely thing to have. Thanks for your appreciation of a poem about nothing in particular!

Renatta, you especially: Hings are clam!
Am glad for your day of calm.
