Bio
While the ashes of marriage #2 were cooling, I began a journal here in verse, to keep myself out of trouble. So far so good, and one day at a time. I took a hiatus this past January, and I missed it terribly. Writing daily had changed the way I think - not my opinions, but the process of thinking itself. So here I am back again, and hungry. I began with three rules: (1) Iambic pentameter, (2) Perfect rhyme, and (3) It had to be true (no hyperbole). I hereby amend rule number 3: If I'm writing about myself, yes, it has to be true. But it doesn't, if I want to tell a story.

Goodnight #14. Thursday June 17, 2010

Rate: 3 Flag

Today I worked all day, and stayed inside.
It's funny, when the kids aren't here, I hide
A little bit, and work a lot, and write.
I'll go to bed now.  Could you get the light?

As soon as I finish my glass of milk & rinse ok.
Where's the damn door ?
You two are too funny! Understand, db, about the hiding. Hope someone got the light and that you slept well. Well, I guess Kim got the light!

By the way, you keep commenting on the number of days gone by and left in your year. I keep feeling withdrawal shudders. Will you simply stop and go away? What if we gave you a few free passes to be used when words won't come or time will not allow? Or would the pass open a door too big? Just want you to know that when I read, more than anything else, I hear you speak your love.
